1974 US 914 Sales Brochure

The 914 was introduced to Germany in 1969 (and sold through VW dealers).
A 1971ccm engine was introduced alongside the previous 1679ccm engine in 1973.
The same large 2-liter engine appeared in the Type 2 VW Bus effective 1976 and
remained in the Vanagon until 1982.
In 1974, the "small" 914 got the 1795ccm engine, also standard in the Type 2 Bus
from 1974-1975.
