Throttle tube kit Price: $27.00 shipped

Throttle tube kit. This is a kit to get rid of that ugly hole in your vw bugs fan shroud. It is made from 6061 T-6 aluminum. It mounts to your shroud with a supplied screw. It includes the tube, mounting hardware, and a instruction sheet.

This tube is designed to be used with linkages that line up properly with the cable hole in the shroud. Linkages that don’t line up with the cable hole (cross bar linkages) will cause the cable to cut through the tube and shroud no matter what the tube is made of. If you have a crossbar linkage see my Roller throttle tube that is designed for use with crossbar linkages.

******I have added a few upgrades. First I added a stainless steel tip. Second I added a Teflon bushing on the other end of the tube. I have not had any complaints about chafing here but I thought it would be a good upgrade. For anyone that already has one of my throttle tubes and wants the upgrades feel free to contact me. I have also added a weld in nut that can be mounted inside the shroud it will allow for a 8-32 machine screw to be used to mount the tube. A stainless 8-32 is also included. The nut can be welded in or glued in with 3M structural adhesive. For those that want to mount the tube to a assembled engine I still include a stainless sheet metal screw to mount the tube........Joe*********

******This throttle tube is not designed to be used with the bowden tube that was used on the late model cars.*******
