Life doesn't always revolve around VWs. When you think about it, it's really about people---our family and friends. So folks, let's remember that special person who makes cruising & hitting the car shows so much fun.
Now for the ad...we're deep into Winter at Econo-German-Auto's (EGA) new headquarters--- double the size of our first shop in Hagerstown, Maryland--- where we know a little about hard work. We're still going at it full-tilt working 6, sometimes 7 days a week, getting our customer's cars in tip-top shape and ready to cruise.
I'm John Messersmith and I'd like to say thanks to everyone for helping to make EGA a success. But I'm not taking anything for granted. We're working hard to help you get more of your classic VWs back on the road and to give you more bang-for-your-buck! Because, after all, isn't it all about having fun and getting as many-smiles-per hour as you can?!
Folks from Maryland, Pennsylvania, California, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia, New Jersey & Texas have found their way to EGA to take advantage of over 30 years of VW experience. We have the facility, work ethic, and the experience it takes to deliver the quality and longevity you want for your ride.
We cover the basics: tune-ups and oil changes, brake work and suspension repairs, typical East Coast rust repair, panel fabrication and welding. We're also are equipped to do major chassis repair, dune buggy fabrication, performance modifications, complete paint jobs---even trophy winning restorations.
Take it from a life-long hotrod and VW fanatic, a regular guy with a passion for what he does---don't let a tight budget keep your project car gathering dust in the garage. Volksrod or patina old-guard bone stock, let's get your ride back on the road and out cruising with your club and taking in the region's VW shows.
All mechanical service & repairs, welding & body work, are performed in house, by myself and my apprentice. All paint work is done in an EPA approved, environment friendly, downdraft spraybooth. I know your ride is your pride and joy, so all vintage cars are stored indoors, under cover, while awaiting completion.
VWs aren't just for guys. Gals love their special cars too! And they love the fact that we listen carefully when they tell us how they want their cars to look. Hey, it's all about helping folks have fun, and EGA 'Gals' have taken home their share of trophies.
