If you are looking for a cheap, factory OEM, non-performing, wimpy, let the stale air blast thru the dash as the hood doesn’t fit to the body seal area, chip the fresh paint off the “C” channel (with our new generation seals, you can completely remove the “C” channel during the pre-painting process) VW Bug front hood & Deck lid seal, then this item isn’t for you!
Our NEW GENERATION, part # 10-300 VW Bug hood seal & 10-310 Deck lid seal is made in the USA with top quality materials (UV stabilized) that will last for a really long time. They have alum clips in the PVC “U” shape to hold onto the hood and a foam bulb to seal against the body, even when your hood doesn’t fit properly to your car’s body. You MIGHT can see a little of the seal from the side but it looks similar to your fender beading! The seal complement the fender beading....
This seal fits all the years of the Air Cooled
VW Bug / Beetles / Super Beetles
Front hood & Deck lid seals are cut for the early years, which is the longest length and you just trim it to your car with garden shears.
Use the extra cut off seal material to seal up a Dog house oil cooler tin gap.
It doesn’t cover the rear of the front hood but you can use the stock OEM cheap one in that area. You also double them up with the stock OEM front hood seal if you already have a good one on your car now too!
These are similar to the Mexican Beetle deck lid seals but those seals glue onto the hood & deck lid unlike ours which clamps / slips on and stays there!
