New VW Type 181 / Thing Deck Lid Seal which is made in the USA with industrial grade seal materials!
Other Thing trims & seals listed elsewhere on the Samba too....cheaper combined shipping costs.
Not the OEM type but better than stock. You will need to pull & / or adjust the latch outward as these seals have a better sealing bulb.
Pre cut to longer than needed length (90”, all around the deck lid opening) for you to compress it onto the steel lip (no glue is needed), overlap the ends and push them apart until you can butt the ends together.
If needed, use a pair of gardening pruning shears to trim the seal. There are alum clips on the inside so if it doesn’t cut cleanly at first, stop and move them over just a little bit and then cut.
