If your experiencing tight steering, the steering wheel won't return, or the Vans steering doesn't want to correct when going down the road , your steering shaft coupler & joint is rusted up and frozen.
On the other end of the spectrum, if the universal joint in the coupler has the bearing's worn out and totally gone, this will make for a uncontrollable sloppy steering.
The Van will be all over the road.
The original, worn out U-joint is holding the coupler together by a thread.
Here's a re-manufactured coupler with a brand new Heavy Duty Universal Joint installed.
The u-joint caps are bigger, the bearings are bigger, it'll last into the next millenium.
It's a heavier than the stock universal joint, with the coupler's yokes precision machined to fit the new HD u-joint.
