1958 VW Beetle Type 1 -

1958 VW beetle type 1 orginally from Chicago Illinios.
Built 1-7-1958 Built Certificate will be included in sale.
Purchased from a bodyshop in Massachusettes in 1999. Mass. Titled car.
Last inspection in 2012.
Complete records available from 1990.
The following areas and items have been restored since 1999.
New interior by West Coast Classics, includng the restoration of the original sterring wheel by "Koch" in California.
Original working VW VDO brand clock and Sapphire 1 AM Radio.
Correct felt headliner.
Original rear door panels with original chrome ashtray.
Optional Cigar ashtray in front.
Original color rear seat metal luggage rails.

Heater channels replaced, and the floor pan under the battery area.
Some areas under the wheel well professionally replaced.

Original VW bumpers front and rear. Original Jack and roll up tool kit. Original Wiring cover.

Tires are 13 years old and show signs of cracking but are still servicable. The 5 date coded rims 1/58 were sandblasted and repainted in 2000.

The engine is a correct 36 hp VW factory Rebuit engine installed in approx. 1965.
The engine was removed in 2000. A new clutch was installed. It was then cleaned and serviced with all the tin removed and powdercoated. Also powdercoated and replaced were the heater boxes and muffler, these were placed using only VW NOS parts.
Also replaced with VW NOS parts were the 4 "Boge" brand shocks in correct red/brown color.

New 6 volt wiring harness in 2000.

Correct 1958/1959 only running boards.

"Albert" brand side view mirror.

Wolfsburg crest on front hood.

Original VW rear view mirror and visors, with optional passenger side visor.

All the window glass is original, except the windshield.

I have tried to replace items with NOS VW correct parts when ever possible. A complete set of receipts will be included with the sale.

The car is not perfect! The paint is a 6 on a scale of 1-10 the rear decklid will need to be repainted and an area on the roof.
The tires should be replaced.
There is no rust outside a few small areas on the front apron area.

Also included in the price if sold locally is a 10' x 20' portable garage.

I also have a extensive collection of 1958-1959 literature that can be purchased upon request. This would compliment this car.

1966 Bug runs and drives good minimal to no rust straight and clean. It has air ride on the front. Tons of little add ons that make this car stand out from any other. It is always turning heads and getting smiles. My main reason for selling is I have other cars and could really use the money for other things at this time.

Thanks.

All rust repair has been done on the body, includes new heater channels, support rails, front firewall, luggage shelf and more. The pan was in a garage fire but was not burned, just got hot and any rubber was melted. Partial list of include parts: Decklid, Front and rear seat frames, 2 top mechanisms, catches & latches, extra driver side door, hood lock w/key, rear window w/ frame, driver/passenger/quarter windows & regulators, wing windows w/glass, motor, transmission, and more. It would need to be towed on a trailer as the tires are not really in road worthy condition.

$2500 OBO, reasonable offers considered. The parts alone in the used market are nearly worth what I am asking. This car can be put back into running condition with a little work.

I'm interested in selling this as a complete project and not parting it out.

This vehicle is clean inside and out with minimal cosmetic rust (ont the rims and inside of the bumpers mostly) that can be taken off with a brillo or some elbow grease. It has been converted to 12V and is a 1600cc engine. The car has a little over 78k miles and is Neptune Blue, which looks a little more gray than bright. The engine just had a tune up with new plugs, fuel filter and lines and she purrs like a kitten. No know accidents and I have owned the car since the late 90's and have not had any problems with it. While it is mostly original, there are some after market parts, the engine is an upgrade and there is a Sony CD player with detachable face installed. It is 99% completely redone, it still needs heating ducts and a relay turn signal switch. Included in the sale is a rubber maid container full of extra parts (some original and some not), repair manual and diagrams.

Just recently moved from a home with a garage to one with out and can't bare to see the weather destroy her. I am looking for a buyer that will love her equally and give her a great home!

Asking $9000, willing to negotiate.
Email me or text (614.507.7722) ask for Gavin

I was building a fat, low, hot rod, inspired by american pro street cars, it has been 5 years and Thousands of dollars, and I am tapping out.
It needs body work, interior and assembly. It would make a killer turn key dune buggy, or finish the project for a cool hot rod. Many extra parts.

Painted "Hot Rod Black", 1966 style front end and headlights, Ghia front disc brakes, 3" narrowed lowered front axle, 4 lug wheels. This bug is like new. Use it as a daily driver or weekend toy. You can see from the photos how much work went into the restoration. Does not scrub or bottom out like some lowered bugs.

No rust anywhere on the car. Paint is nice and any small scrathes can be touched up with flat black touch-up paint. Stereo/CD are located in the glove box. Speakers behind back seat. This is the best quality VW you will find for this price. The luggage rack and lowered stance makes this car a head turner everwhere it goes.

I bought this car from its second owner stored in a garage since 1985. Never restored unmolested. All parts are there for an easy restoration. These cars are almost impossible to find on the east coast intact and unmolested. Wiring harness is perfect still 6 volt. Will make for an awesome stock or custom restoration. Engine moves freely needs new fuel lines and exhaust to get it running. Will need a restoration as it does have some rust holes in the left and right rear quarter. The heater channels will also need some work the pictures tell the story. If you’re good with a welder these are very easy fixes. Car is still in its original white paint, never repainted or torn apart. Clean Tittle even comes with the original owner’s manual. It has an aftermarket radio installed dash clean not cut and comes with the original Sapphire. If you looking for a project that doesn’t have the headaches of someone’s else mistakes this one is for you. Email Svavr6@yahoo.com for questions.

Please help me locate my first VW 1964 Bug -

In a bit of nostalgia I have a wild hair up my butt to try and locate my first car. It was a 1964 bug that I got when I was 14 and sold it shortly after high school to buy my first bus. I am interested in finding it and if the current owner is willing to sell it for a price I can afford I would like to buy it back as well.

The car had a unique interior in it and some other identifying things that would help me confirm it is my old car.

It was sold in the summer of 1994 to a guy in the east valley of Phoenix and disappeared since. I have not seen it at a car show or anything or on samba for sale. Anyone that has any information I would appreciate your help.

Please call 602-616-3083 or email me with any info or leads.

Thank you.

1964 RHD with Suicide Doors -

1964 converted Right Hand Drive with Suicide Doors and push button start and 4 inch adjustable narrowed beam. Runs and drives great. Starts every time and is fun to drive. She is a constant head turner with very little rust. $3800 O.B.O.

The Good: Freshly rebuilt 6 volt 40hp 1200cc. No backfires, no leaks, no misfires.
                 New Pan with no rust!!
New Master Cylinder with solid, smooth braking.
New Cal Look Window Rubber all the way around.
New Kumho 185 65R15 tires on the back and Nankang 145R15 on front.
                 New Axle Boots
Transmission shifts smoothly with no popping out of gear.
Solid body with NO cancer and very little rust.
Correct RHD conversion minus the dash

The Bad: Headliner could use replacing
No gauges due to smooth blank dash: I will give all gauges to new owner for install
Passenger door needs one of the hinges welded back in place (door still opens and shuts nice though)
Some slight dings but nothing major

I hate selling it, but I've got too many projects right now. If using paypal add 3%
