I fabbed these up out of common galvanized steel. I think they are great. so far they get in the way when load is more.
They are the second pair, but I can make more.

VW Collectivo in the Yucatan

VWs seen in Mexico a few years ago. Collectivos drive specific routes between towns around the Yucatan. Just stand at the side of the road and wave one down when he's going by for a ride. Some of them were VWs.
