This was taken in a campground near Frankfurt, Germany. We had arrived in Luxembourg the day before and taken delivery of the Westfalia. From this campground we started a 6 month trek through Europe and the old Soviet Union. I still have the original German license plates. I had the spare mounted out front about a month later, we need every square inch of space. We logged about 18k miles during the 6 months. 20 years later we shipped it back to Europe for another 17 years of summer travels. My wife, Nancy, passed away in June of 2015. We had 43 wonderful years of traveling the world in our Westfalia.
