14" "Libre", a.k.a. "Daisy" mags, couple overall views, from a little car display... Stock Steve
I was invited back this year to display my car as a side attraction at the "Short Beach Days" Saturday field events at Pardee Park in the Short Beach section of Branford, CT. I was under the assumption that we'd have a group of cars like last year (maybe 6 or 7 old cars total last year for this display), but just one other fellow showed up--with an OUTSTANDING '98 Mitsubishi Eclipse--with something like 8,000 original miles on the clock (and owned by the original owner too--his beautiful '66 Caddie that he showed last year needed some brake work, so he took the Mitsu). As it became apparent that nobody else was going to show up (we got there at the appointed 8:30am, and hung around until about 9:30, when the field games were about to start), we asked if we could be excused (before we got "parked in" by the games that were going to take place), and were granted passes to get rolling on our way. I told Keith DeCosta (the fellow in the third picture, who's one of the volunteer organizers for Short Beach Days) that I'd be glad to help spread the word next year so that hopefully we get a nice little car show assembled like last year. In all, I still had fun and appreciate the hospitality of Keith, Sean Kelly, and everyone involved! Plus it was VERY cool being able to eyeball that amazing '98 Eclipse up close!

14" "Libre", a.k.a. "Daisy" mags, finally installed the center caps... Stock Steve
As noted last time, the ebay-sourced repro center caps fit *awesomely.* I also noted last time that at least one of those metal-backed center cap stickers had partially disbonded from the cap, just from sitting. I did my best to press it down again, and who knows if it'll stay there long-term. Anyway, here's how they look, and I'll follow up next chance IU get with a couple of overall views of the wheels, with center caps fitted, on the car... The Bug was accessible on Monday, August 28th, so that's what me and the pup took for our afternoon dog park outing... View other images: From Stock Steve Search Forums for photo
