Ultra rare petri pre-1955 split, oval and porsche 356 pre A, quick release / anti theft 15" ivory steering wheel.
Today I became the very happy owner of one of the rarest steering wheels ever made for vw & vintage porsche, a genuine very very early petri accessory quick release steering wheel. The hub mounts onto the steering coloum, and by pushing the 2 red wingknobs towards the driver, you are able to easyli remove the wheel of the hub. Wheel was originally delivered with the white 80mm petri horn push, but the zodiac, sun moon & golden lady was available as an optional accessory. I'll like to thank the german collector from whom I purchased this wheel for selling it to me, and for making my collection of steering wheels even more complete. After helping Danny Z complete his set of very rare EMPI knock offs, my Birthday came early as well this March and was gifted to find a really nice set myself....This set was bought new at Vasek Polak and stayed with the original owner until the Split Ragtop was sold that these were on....The well known former Hot Vw's cover car Split ragtop was spotted today at Drag Day that these were on prior to the sale of the car.....Good Vw Karma!!! NOS '73 poptop seal honeybus
This shows the corner, where the flap over seal attaches 90 degrees with the long seal around the base of the poptop.
There is no bulb attached to the seal, like the replacement seals.

Truck load of Empi parts DannyZ
Heres a truck load of Empi parts everyone wants. 4-5 lug Empi Sprint Stars, 17-4 lug Empi Sprint Stars, Empi AM/FM radio, Empi Eliminator shifter, 2 Riverside 500 Steering wheels and a 14 inch Empi GTV steering wheel and a brass Hurst shifter. All these parts were for sale with an Empi Imp dune buggy. My friend told me to make him an offer for the parts last week. I offered him some money Tuesday and as of Thursday the parts are now mine. DDS IDA Manifolds JDGas
The newest member of my DDS family.
According to Dean Lowrey's nephew, all DDS parts were sold raw. Not purple, like most people think. He also said that the ONLY DDS parts that were painted purple were the parts for Dean's car. She came in pretty rough . Case had to be replaced , regound 82mm crankshaft x new 90.5 P&L's , reground 120 Cam , and an unusually large sump .
