Here's Clyde Berg with my 40 hp heads. Clyde is going to work some magic on my 40 HP heads. Big valves, porting and polishing to the heads and manifolds. I can't wait for the screamer engine. I think The Mango is getting nervous

Heres the engine installed in my son Richard's 1965 Bug. 1600cc dual port, dual relief case, 1 1/2 qt sump, engle 110 cam. Boy it runs great. Thanks Lee

My sons 1600 CC engine is done and installed in his 1965 Bug. I didn't get a chance to have Lee Dyno the engine, I'll do it at a later date. The sump plate was leaking so Lee did his magic on the sump plate and no more oil leaks. He took the sump plate off, turned it upside down and with a hammer hit all 6 holes back into place, then used gasgacinch on the case to top gasket and the sump plate to the sump filter and it stopped leaking. That way the sump filter is removable very easy. The Bug runs great now with the new rebuilt engine. I jacked the Bug up, drained the oil, removed the sump plate and had all the tools ready for Lee, thats why I'm one of a very few who get to work with Lee. He's more than 80 years old and still works on VWs engines. Thanks Lee

2 signs I found when I was treasure hunting last Friday. The Bosch sign is cool and has a raised spark plug, it almost looks real. The other is an original VW sign the dealships got in a package from VW to display in the dealship show rooms. It says Do a good turn for your VW. Photo is taken by the Economotors Single Cab

Lee Leighton thinking about when all he could build was a big 40 HP engine. Lee Leighton was Dean Lowery's main helper back in the days when Dean was shocking the world in the Empi Inch Pincher Race Car. Lee had alot to do with helping Dean Lowery build the Empi Inch Pincher Race Car. Lee will make my 40hp into a fire breather for The Mango Bus

Heres Lee Lighton and Me (DannyZ) unloading my 40 HP engine that Lee is going to build. I'm using my dual Carb Kit(thats one of my manifolds on the head) I make, a 40 HP SP roller crankshaft, NOS Kobelschmidt 40 HP big bore pistons and cylinders and Clyde Berg is going to port and polish the manifolds and the heads and install some big valves and work his magic on the heads. Stay tuned
