Check out this crazy Oval window race car Don Roundtree made and Raced back in the Days. He told me the story about building this car and winning some races with it. Don was a very good racer back in the days. He won several big Races in the 1960's and 1970s. Thanks for the photos Don.

These are some old school photos from my friend Don RoundTree's scrap book. Here's a photo of Don and Micky Thompson after a race Don won and Micky Thompson was a sponsor for Dons Ascot race car exhaust called the Thrusher. A The other photo is of Don after winning a race at Ascot. Check out Don's race car behind him, you can see engines by Lee Leighton. This is John Rue from Phoenix Headers, which was 4 Tune Exhaust back in the 1960s. 4 Tune Exhaust is who made Empi's Extractor Exhaust with the square flange. I had some Exhaust problem with the 100 HP engine and John came thru and solved our problem. Its nice to know the right people. Thanks John

Here's the number we got 100 HP out of this 1914 Engine. This Engine was in a 1965 Bug I bought from Pick your part. Someone had put this new Engine in my Bug. Everything on the engine is new and the car was impounded on its madien voyage. Then I bought the car. Now I have this 100 HP engine and need to put a car together for it

That's me and Lee after the dyno. Hes telling me those Dellortos worked good. Did you see those torque readings. Because of those big Dellortos (45's) we got some horse power. Lets go figure out the hosre power. We did the Dyno outside, its normally done inside. We did a special trick to turn the Header Blue so the Dyno had to be done outside.

Thats me and Lee Leighton with my 1914 engine on the Dyno. Lee works the Dyno and I write the torque readings. Lee said to me its time for me to learn how to figure out the horse power I've dyno'd enough engines with Lee. I now know the formula to convert the torque readings into horse power.

Its great working on my engines with Lee Leighton. I get to learn alot when I work at his shop. I do all my own work at his shop while hes working other engines. He tells me how to do something when I need help. I use his tools. He says I can use his tools anytime. I always put them back where they belong. He even lends me tools. I was there borrowing a tool once and seen my friend Kobus at Lee's shop. Kobus lives in Belgium. Small world
