Some 912E owners remove the smogpump for extra power, or because they've converted to carbs or because they don't have strict smog rules like CA. I like the original set up so put back the smogpump pulley tripod again. Before the install I greased up the bearing so avoid any noises in the near future.

Not easy to get to the 3 bolts again in the middle of the fan when the tri-pod is in place.

First did a testrun without the belt, and belt is now installed again.

Must admit... Not feeling the power difference so not sure if it's a big gain to remove them.

Good grip on your pedal is important for your safety and swapping your old rubbers with new one makes a difference on how the car looks.

Rubbers are cheap so I replaced them as soon as I bought my car.

After 40 years even some porsche parts need to be replaced. I didn't want to wait for moment they break down so did some preventive repair to avoid having issues while enjoying the ride. Often the wiper switch and light switch make poor contact so people start bending some connections which can work but I decided to just replace them with new once considering they are readily available. With the steeringwheel removed I also replaced the horn contact, both on the shaft and the steeringwheel.

Easy job to do and at least I prevented getting issues in the future as I would like to get stranded with wipers or lights not working correctly.
