Before the advent of the bellow-style thermometer, you had to maually adjust the cooling intake flap on the shroud itself. Here's a shot of the cooling flap in the open (Summer) position.

NOS Split wiper blades. These have 5 pieces of rubber rather than a single piece with ribs.
