VW Type 181 Thing (1973) in DAK desert camo guise.... Posted: Wed Mar 18, 2015 8:17 pm     Views: 68      Rating: Not rated

These are images of 'OTTO', a Mexican manufactured 1973 Type 181 I acquired from a previous owner who was retired Army vet living in Baja California. He used 'OTTO' as personal transportation while living at the E Dorado Ranch compound, San Felipe (BC), Mexico. The markings are of reasonably accurate German WW2 North Afrikan Campaign Wehrmacht origin. The car has just received a new engine & transmission, new brakes and other improvements (March 2015) and soldiers on quite nicely in my care.
