A length of 1/2" PVC pipe with one end cut to conform to the shift rod. The "business end" was warmed with a heat gun to better conform to the shape of the cup.
Two tie wraps will support the weight of the entire shift rod so it can be carefully snaked into the tunnel and through the bushing.
Once the rod is in place, the tie wraps can be snipped and removed through the shifter opening, and the PVC pipe can be pulled out from the front. |
