This is a good image that shows the charcoal filter canister, as well as the inlet line from the fan shroud (#4), the outlet line to the air cleaner (#3) and the fuel vapor vent line from the fuel tank (#1 & #2). Ah! The mysteries of the VW continue to amaze & astound me!
