Who sells these new? I'm looking for one for a 1970 distributor 311 905 205 AB. No VW number on the unit, just 461 on the arm that connects to the distributor breaker plate.

BTW, I've heard of prices in the $40 range for Type 1 vacuum units. If I have to pay that much I'll dump the stock dizzy and buy an 043 or SVDA (my engine is carbureted.)

If you are carbed, why are you worrying about the vac. unit. The mechanical adv. is more than adequate. You have more mechanical advance than an 009.

You're right about that, Russ. Even w/o the vac, the T3 dizzy is miles ahead of the typical 009. John at aircooled.net claims the vac advance on his SVDA results in lower engine temps and better gas mileage at freeway speeds. Kinda wanted to check that out for myself before I sprung for one of his units.
