depends on how much of the clip you need!
the gas tank and surrounding sheet metal is different,but the apron and sides are the same |

well what I have left on my bug is a little bit damaged, but I believe that I could straighten it out with a little bit of work. if I could get a '61 fairly reasonably priced, do you think that it would be worth the hassle of getting and making it work, or should I try and find a rust free '60 instead? this '61 that a guy is wanting to sell me is pretty nice....

| You are better off straightening the front if it's salvageable.I only replace front or rear clips if they are absolutely mangled,if not the front ends pull out very easily with a bumper bracket and a come-along |

no,mine was cut right before the vertical metal that holds the VIN plate...the spare tire well, front apron and about 3-4 inches of the sides are completely missing.

| If your "tool shelf" is intact you can use a later year clip,a picture would be great to see how far your front end has been cut |
