I know this question was raised a few threads below but I have a different take on it. It appears that if you are going with a late model Bus tranny you'll need 19.25" axles. Can you still convert to the 3x3 trailing arms, say in an old Baja Bug, and still run a Beetle IRS tranny? My main question is if all of this is possible, what length axles do you need in this application? I assume the axle length would be different because EMPI lists their 19.25" axles for use only with a Bus tranny. Any help out there?

| baja5 runs 3x3 arms with 930 joints and a type 1 IRS trans so i know the parts are available. that setup as well as the same thing with a type 2 trans are two common setups which off-road shops stock parts for so finding the axles shouldnt be much of a problem |
