| I have a 69 stock beetle with a 1500 sp engine. It is not street legal (no title) I am planning to cut it up into vehicle to leave at the farm to go fishing in etc... Can some one point to to a site or maybe have photos on how to cut the front end to keep the metal hood. I thought about cutting open the roof or perhaps cutting it off. I don't plan to turn it into a vehicle to handle jumps etc... just yet. I plan to keep the fenders in front and have an extra front pair to cut rear fenders. I thought about cutting the roof off behind the b pillars and adding a roll bar across instead. Heater channels are pretty much shot and i would need to shore this area up to make it really offroad worthy especially if i cut it up I would think. ALL IDEAS AND PHOTOS ESPECIALLY CONSTRUCTION TYPE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Oh yeah, did I mention limited budget, but mig welder and cutting tools are available. thanks tj |

| Just cut off a little at a time and stop cutting when it gets where you like it. You don't have to cut it all at once. |
