unclogging the heat riser.....
Of the two methods refered to on previous disscussions, using a drill and old cable to roto-rooter out the carbon or oxy-acyt. torch method. I have access to a torch and have an old cable I can use.
Which is the best method?
Is it possible to damage the manifold with the torch?
Both risers were completey clogged. No wonder my car wouldn't stay running after it was warmed up. |

I have tried both ways and have only been able to get them cleaned out with the cable method.
There was a post about getting the insides red hot then turning the torch off and putting straight oxygen in there to burn it out but that never worked for me.
