I've seen remote reservoirs for hydraulic pedals in the past, but can't find them now. Spoiled by the pedal set up in our sandrail and want a similar set up in my street vert. Anybody have a line on these? Thanks.

Try CNC. I just bought a triple remote rez set from them. Good people to deal with. Kar Tek has them in stock (Corona, CA).

Thanks. Not having much luck with their website, but it certainly gives me a starting place. I like the idea of going with CNC as I'm not super impressed with our expensive Jamar setup on our rail (slave sticking because it appears to not have a perfectly straight shaft, replacing fluids weekly as it ends up grey with metal or sediment, etc.). Thanks again.

I replaced all the factory VW stuff with hanging CNC pedals and the steel masters, remote rez's etc. I had a problem with one master cyl on the rears and spoke with Chuck at CNC - he diagnosed a faulty master and had a new one waiting for me at Kar Tek before I got there - no further questiosn asked. Class outfit that stands behind their products.
Good luck! |

Thanks. I was looking at the swinging ones last night on the Net. That seems like a good solution, provided they fit in a '79 Super. May not even need the seperate romotes for that set up. Also intrigued with the vacum (power) assist brake set up offered by CNC. Hummm. To dream of power brakes on a VW, is that madness? What's next? Good heat? Wonder is a plain 'ol 1600 would have enough spare vacum to power that system. I sure wish CNC had a tech Email source.

You might try just calling down to CNC and asking for Chuck. He's the owner/tech guy and knows what his products can and cannot do. Never hurts to ask...

if i'm not mistaken, bay window busses had vacuum assisted brakes. i dont know if it was before they switched to the type 4 powerplant though...

I'd better not buy anything for a bit. Just got home to three packages (WCM, Cip1 and Rust bullet). Wife then mentioned she had just found an old invoice from WCM for over $600. Busted. Damn, and I've got disc brakes arriving tomorrow. I'd better pick up some flowers on the way home.
