do you have any pics of your current setup?
you could find out the extended length of your shocks and mount your limit straps at the upper and lower shock mounts |

| I'll figure out the pics. thing pretty soon. The beam has been cut and twisted, old stops cutoff (way bent) new beefed spindles and knuckels and KYB's. I've seen straps next to the shock before and just wanted some new input. For the top, probibly something similar to a "long travle kit" setup. |

| I put limit straps on the front of a buggy alongside the shocks. If you use stock trailing arms the bottom stud that mounts the shock is barely long enough to mount the shock and strap. Not enough length left over for a washer. The metal ends on the straps also need to be bent over in a vice to clear the shock body...so plan on using a strap about an inch longer than you need cos they will shorten when you bend it. I think we used Bus size KYB gas adjust shocks I think they are a little longer and are cheap. The metal housing over the chrome shaft had to be cut away and replaced with rubber accordian type covers to keep the strap from being chafed. |

instead of bending over the strap end piece, i used longer bolts and a spacer in between the shock and the strap. i cannot say if they work with balljoint arms, but you can get shock mount extenders for link pin arms.
also FYI, those longer bus shocks will not work on the Type 1 balljoint beam. and therefore you would need to find another place to mount the upper end of the limit strap or use a hook and pin type limiter |

where does the bottom of the limit strap tie to? with the top so far inside like that, it looks like it would put an unnecessary horizontal load on whatever it is tied to. |

| If you look under the tie rod, you can just see the strap mount and bolt on the upper arm. |

OK this is what I came up with.
I didn't like anything on the lower shock mount. I found heavy duty link pins with threaded ends, made some bushings and atched the strap there. |

| i dont see any reason why that wouldnt work. arent those link pins advertised for use with dual front shocks? that should be plenty strong enough |

| The link pins are for a "combo spindle" the ones for the duel shocks have a much longer thread. |
