I just replaced my exhaust and wondered what you guys used to clean ceramic coated exhuast systems. I tried all kinds of stuff on my old system but nothing really worked that well.Thanks.

I replaced mine as well, including ceramic coated J tubes and stainless steel tips. I was not planning on doing anything, on the basis that a cleaner may do more harm than good.

I just wash it along with everything else when the car gets a bath. It has not seemed to "dull" at all. I have used a aluminim/chrome polish (the wading kind in the metal can) before. It did a pretty good job of getting some crusty oil stains off and does not seem take any coating off.

Yeah, just use metal polish. And take care of oil stains quickly. I've got permanent baked in oil stains on some J-tubes.

so long as your cleaner is not abrasive, it shouldn't hurt anything. I've had great luck with Tilex (honest!) so long as the surface was not hot. A 3-way mix of Isopropyl Alcholol, White Vinegar, and water will work too, no streaking or anything. Give everything a good rinse and wipe when you are done, and you shouldn't have problems. It's usually the residue from most cleaners that do the damage when left behind, especially once heated up.
