| does anyone know how big of a oil cooler will fit in most roof mounted scoops. I was picking through some of my forgotten VW treasures and found a remote oil cooler setup that came with a bunch of stuff someone gave me but had nothing to use it on. Now the the VW is gonna be a Baja I figure this is a perfect opputunity to use it. can I use it, or are there special coolers for just that application? I'm at work, (shh don't let them know :wink: ) so i don't have the measurements of the cooler available. I want to run a roof scoop setup because I think that looks alot better than just sticking it over the fresh air vents below the rear window. any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| i think there are a couple of different scoops available. i bought one at a swap meet once for 5 clams, it was too good of a deal! i've never installed it cause where i ride there are trees..... |

| just looked at the scoop, its a SRE brand and the cooler would be about 6" wide by 11" or maybe 12" long. |

| thanks, I'll check my cooler out and see if it falls somewhere in that area, and I see what you mean by the trees, plus it would suck if you rolled over, and who knows, first time in the sand with a bunch of dumb friends egging me on I can't make any promises :) |
