I ended up with an empi set instead of compufire like I originally wanted. I drive my 63 everyday to work 6 miles away, then jump back in and drive to san marcos about 85-90 miles away 3 times a week. This empi set has been good so far, but I have heard that they suck...is this fact or fiction? |

you mainly have to keep up the matinence on the points. Another alternative would have been Petronix. Im running it in my 1960 bug and had it in my 1965 mustang. |

Just be sure to keep points, condensor and a few tools in the glovebox. |

The pertronix is the way to go. Every air cooled vw I've had has had 1 of these and I've never had a problem! |
