My '59 was cut down in the late '70s and had dually rear wheels made from welding a third VW rim between to with tractor tires on them. They are long gone, I wish I had a picture of them.
If I ever get a ghia, I'm diggn this:

Mine is a 55 and it was bought in late 68 by the guy i bought it from and turned into a baja in 69 or 70
