How does u guys vans perform in the snow? I took mine out the other day and it wasn't very good. I was sliding all over and got stuck on the flat part of my driveway. (Granted it wasn't plowed but the van should have moved a little)

My '91 goes fine in the snow with big nobby Cooper Weathermasters on all 4 wheels. The "86 DC does'nt go out in the salt/snow.

A few years ago I was driving to Tahoe to go skiing in my '84 standard 2wd when I hit a patch of black ice at the top of a pass just a few minutes from my destination. The damn ABS never kicked in after I slammed on the brakes  so I became a 4000 pound weight sliding down the road. Luckily I slid to the left into a snowbank and not to the right over the 300 foot cliff. Just drive extra slow and get the right tires.....

My '81 Westy seems to do fine in the snow here in Idaho. Granted, she won't go anywhere the roads are plowed, but other than that, she is a champ in the snow (with the engine in the back and a rear wheel drive set up, it is no different than a front wheel drive, front engined vehicle). Good Luck!

It's all in the tires. My tires are crap in the snow. I'm gonna buy a set of good mud and snow's to put on her before next winter. For now, to get around I have to put on chains. I hate chains.
