| I just rolled my baja, so I'm gonna start building another. I'm gonna use a 69 pan and I want to extend the front out another 4 to 6 inches. I was thinking of cutting off a pan head off at the firewall of a link pin pan I have laying around, and then cutting the balljoint head off the 69 where it's welded on and then welding the link pin at that point and welding on some channel steel on the sides of the tunnel for reinforcement, adding a few inches. If I weld it good do you think it would be strong enough for some hard bajaing( minor jumping and stuff)? Or would I be paying the price later?? I would like to use link pin but I really don't have the rescources to do a full cage right now. Any info would help, thaks |

| i wouldnt do much jumping at all without a cage. if you're going to use a stock panhead, weld it on in the stock place. |
