They have stick remover. Don't paint over it if you want to do it done right. Get the sticky remover (can't think of the name) Go to walmart even, any car parts store, automotive and they should carry it. It comes in a spray can, then the stuff scrubs right off with your common sos pad, etc.
Good Luck. |

| Probably thinking of GOOF OFF, that stuff will remove all kindsa sticky stuff even undercoating, although its quicker to torch and scrape the undercoating and use the goof off to remove the residue. |

| I tried that goof off and it didnt work to well, maybe I expected it to do too much, but I ended up having to scrape it off after the goof off softened it up. :) |

I sanded one years ago(what a pain that was)
that was even before I had an air compressor.
Gummed up/Wasted a lot of good sand paper.
I would try something like Paint thinner/lacquer thinner/Carb spray/brake fluid should work but also takes paint. |

wirebraided cup-wheel on a grinder works for me.
but you won't have any paint left either. |

| I just picked up a new heat gun to try to remove the tar paper in my bug. I'll let you know how it goes. I guess the correct answer is whatever works. |
