I have a break problem on my 1992 Syncro double cab.
When i press the brake with the engine shut of the pedal gives resistance but when i start the engine the pedal goes to the floor. I have absolutely zero brakes now! Anyone familiar with this problem? |

| I just did that... Then it worked fine. Stood for 3 weeks and then behaves lika described above... Maybe a brake servo ocr vacuum problem? |

| :D if the booster is bad, you will have a hard time pressing pedal when running, if it was a vacume leak, it would run like crap all the time. sounds to me like you have a bad master cylinder... |

It is possible that the brake fluid is getting suck out of the master cylinder into the brake servo.
You need to check that out pretty soon because after the servo gets about an inch of fluid in there, they become "toast". I think those are real money to replace. |

My theory right now is that I have got a bad master cylinder. Took one out from a sincle cab today. I will chek fix it up and replace my master. I will start with that.
How is the booster connected to the master? How can it suck fluid into the booster? (I am no guru on breaks... :? ) |
