Is anyone here running 145's on a 5.5 in rim? Just wondering if the wheels I have now 5.5 in. would be too wide for a 145 tire, seems like a pretty big stretch. |

If you hit a curb or a decent size pothole, you could pop the bead.
I'd go with 4.5 wheels. |

I don't see a problem with fitting a 145 on a 5.5-inch wheel. Most cars use that very combination with their Flat4 BRMs, Empi 5-spokes, Fuchs, Sprint Stars etc... |

a 145 tire is approximately 5.7"s wide. it should work fine on a 5.5" rim.
a 135 on a 5.5" or 6" rim is pushing it, imho. |

I have also run a 145 on Empi 5.5" wheels. Never had a problem. I'm about to mount 135s on my 5.5" chromies...and eventually on 5" BRMs. |
