Passing thru so-cal and stopped at WW warehouse--parts guy was super--even helped me fit the new mirrors I bought for my '66 bus--they wouldn't go in the hinge hole because of the paint on the shafts, so he scraped and sanded them till they fit--also looked over my bus and had some good suggestions on parts to use , etc.

I recently ordered a bunch from WW for the body-off my 72. The floor pans I have read that everyone raves about were real crap. Very thin and warped. This is the best around? I called them for clarification on other parts ordered and they were very rude. You can only get by on past reputation for so long...
The rubber I ordered was great! I'll order directly from West Coast Metric myself nextime. That's where they got em'.
I'm on the east coast and the shipping not only was pricy but took forever.
BugCity in CT puts them to shame.
Oh well, everyone seems to have a different experience. Just my 2 cents. I'll avoid them in the future.

All of my experiences with them have been excellent. I will try and shop with them next time for sure! Excellent service, fast shipping, and an absolutely excellent set of running board covers. the single post antenna was better than I expected as well. thanks guys!

Common sence and Good business Practices Said #1 WW Crew contacted You and let you no the unfortunate truth of the situation ( And knowing Tony and the Crew at WW Empathized with your frustration).

#2 WW Gave you the opertunity To pay the extra shipping Charges, and recieve your items and or recieve a refund. To which You obviously Paid.

#3 Now You are trying to find some sort of relief in Bad Mouthing one of the Industries leading Top Quality VW Parts Supplier's World Wide??? because of an honest mis-calculation and trying to Negotiate and split the diferance in a shipping charge, that's a customer's responsability to began with?? That's Pretty Assanine Pal!!

I've been ordering from them for years too..They always rock. I've had a couple things that needed replacing in the last couple years and they did right away no questions asked. I recommend them highly and the quality of almost everything i've bought has been superb.

Interesting. I had the exact opposite experience with Bug City. I saw a fuel pump they had for sell. I emailed them for clarification on the pump and the reply was short, rude and indifferent.

I just placed an order online with WW last Sunday night. Ordered ground to Az. It came today perfectly packaged and complete. I have ordered from WW at least 30 times with 0 issues from them. One time I ordered online and received a call when they opened on Monday to verify what I was ordering was what I wanted. I was wrong and they fixed it BEFORE I received the wrong parts. You can't ask for better service than that.

my only complaint with WW is a few small things i've bought from them the quality was questionable..Otherwise they've been fantastic. I suppose every dealer has some lower quality stuff though. I've done a ton of business with them

Wolfsburg West is by far the best and most honest VW Parts seller I have ever dealt with.... Between WW and Vintage Parts... you dont really need anyone else.. here is an example.

I called up WW as I saw they had some Split Crank Pulley's for sale... Mine is a little bent... so I asked the gent... "Hey man.. how many do you have and what do they look like".... he went and looked.... came back and said... "they are rough.. and a little bent, Im not sure you would want it." How is that for honesty..... I've probably spent about 2000.00 at WW, but he didnt know that... I thanked him for his honesty....

What can you say.. these guys actually CARE about the parts they send you.... I even put a WW sticker on the bumper of my Split... only sticker on my car. They ROCK.. plain and simple.

I have always been happy with the products I have purchased from Wolfsburg West.

I live in cali and order 99% of my parts from wolfsburgwest..I have spent thousands of dollars in the last 2 months on my bus..The best packaging in the world..I hate peanuts, but love un-damaged items..I am going to place an order tonight as i got 200.00 gift certs for xmas . They are the best by far.

I've had different experiences with WW. When I go there and pick up the parts, the guys are great, quick and very knowledgable. But the last 2 times I ordered online. I recieved the orders the next day. Thats fast enough for me. However, the 1st online order had a previously sold and broken mirror in it. I called and they told me " shove something in it and see if it stops wobling. If not send it back" I sent it back. Today I got new exhaust with an attachment kit I didn't order but not the kit i did order. I called and got it straitened out and they will be send the right kit, at their expense I will add, tomorrow. I think i'll just make the drive from now on. Much better experience. In their defense, I'm not always sure what I need when I order so face to face is probably better.

wanta23 Fri Feb 15, 2008 8:31 pm

well, now they've sent me the same kit they sent me b4. I have 2 now :D
and, they charged me twice it seems. I guess I'll be driving there next week :(

charlie1971 Mon Feb 25, 2008 10:33 pm

Everything was awesome on quality except they told me that the "ivory" seat covers were nearly white and they were more of a beige color. Being on the other side of the USA I have to ship it back at my expense, but nonetheless they are nice guys and shipping was pretty quick considering the distance.

I just broke a windshield trying to do an install (ok so I've really broke two windshields, but who is counting). I needed to order a new rubber since I cut the old one out. Also had to order new aluminum trim for the rubber since I mangled mine removing and installing it twice. I didn't need to order the sleeves for the trim though since they were still usuable. WW had gone ahead and threw in two sleeves with my order when I got it. Now I know it's only $1.50 in parts, but it's the fact that they were trying to watch out for me. That's good service.

I've bought so much stuff from this A+ operation it freaks me out when i see the pile of receipts throughout the years. I took my family out there last june for the classic show & stopped by to check out the facility. Very nice! shipping may tend to creep up on some items but its well worth it when you see the care that goes into getting your parts ready for shipping. if you don't believe me order anything from C1P and see how long the package gets stuck somewhere in WA. due "to mechanical failure". WW= quality.

However, as a previous slave to a mail order company for ten years I feel that they should have ate the difference, shipped the order as quoted and then corrected their website to prevent the shipping error from happening again. WolfsburgWest can afford to eat the $30 difference as a service to the customer.

I'd suggest if you still have a beef with their company to call up Tony at Wolfsburg West directly. I'm sure he'll put a smile back on your face.

Agreed...

Everybody that is bashing the guy who started this thread is stupid. It is clear that WW was in the wrong... in this instance.

Ever walk into a store and you take an item to the register...the price comes up different than what was posted. The cashiers are trained to adjust the price of your item to what was posted...then fix the sign to the correct price. This is proper customer service...It has happened to me many times.
