| could anyone tell me if type 3 notch back shares the same upper ball joints as the beetle or are they type 3 only , and do they have to be pressed in and out like ghias or are they easier to change ? thanks......steve still working on the 62 notch |

| The ball joints for a T-3 is completely different than T-1. And they do NOT have to be pressed in. |

| T3 ball joints are T3 only all the way till the end in 73. Yes they are T3 specific and as Russ said, not pressed in. |

| Type 3 ball joints bolt in. I've never seen ball joints that were easier to change. |
