| Does anyone have a pic of what an original water tank cap looks like on an SO42 ice box? I've been using a gas cap. |

This is a '66 original. A Stant 10623 is similar but you'll have to drill the hole.

Mike -
The sliding part of the drawer is 11 5/8" long x 16 1/4" wide x 2 5/16" tall.
The face of the drawer is 16 15/16" wide x 2 3/4" tall x 5/8" thick and lines up with the top of the sliding portion. The overall length of the drawer with face attached is 12 1/4" (11 5/8" + 5/8" face)
Hope this helps. |

Yeah, similar construction to the rest of the kit. Here are some pics:

| Funny, I never noticed that writing on the back of the drawer before. I wonder what that's all about... |

I bought an early bay icebox with the sink pictured earlier in this thread.
I figured the sink could double as an urinal on camping trips. When Box arrived via fedex icebox was in pieces and missing the sink top and top drawer. Shipper did such a bad job boxing it fedex told me tough luck.
So I decided to take what I had left from the shipper and combine with a so-42 top with faucet and top drawer that came with the westy when I bought it. Using measurements from an original I made this which looks very close to original. Better than nothing.

| Does anyone have the dimensions for the bench seat water tank? I bought a decent ice box, but its a walk thru model and I have a bench, and it did not come with a tank. I went through other threads and contacted Inca Plastics, thinking they would have something on file, but the guy said I would need dimensions and he would be able to look it up that way. I had read in a previous thread that all I would have to give them was inlet/outlet sizes (which I dont have) but I guess not. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

The bench and WT SO-42 campers use the same 10 gallon poly water tank.
All the answers you need are listed in this thread
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=103460&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
Inca Plastics' website is FUBAR right now so the hotlink in the thread doesn't work but using the pictures in the thread, the phone, email etc you should be able to get a new tank with the correct fittings in the correct locations.
If after sending them all the pictures from the linked thread they still can't find it, I'd suggest you send a PM to Tim and ask him to look at his invoice. The model number of the tank would almost certainly be on it, right? When you find out the model number of the tank, please add a post to the linked thread so the information will be there in the future for others. Thanks. |

Woody,
Thanks for that link, not sure how I missed it. Thought I had read everything about the ice boxes. As soon as I get the info I will post for reference. |
