Does anyone know a source for these gaskets? Just as good would be a scan or a trace of an original. I cut some but I believe some of my idling problems stem from the gasket I cut. I realized that my idle jet was covered that fixed the fact that I couldn't idle at all. Now my idle goes up too quickly and stays high for longer than it should before it settles down. I believe this may stem from an incorrect gasket. The material I used is too thick and I may not have all the holes cut exactly right.
I did actually drive the car around a bit though for the first time in 22 years
Thanks

Stoddard in Ohio has the gasket. Rebuild kits show up on E Bay from time to time. Try an older vw shop in your area...sometimes you get lucky!
