View original topic: leaky washer nozzle

so i finally got my spare to pressurize the washer tank on my square!

changed hoses and valves and clogged washer bottle cap.

all good - BUT now the fluid sprays but wont disengage
very well. washer nozzle just keeps dribbling.

i'm under the 43lb. max pressure by a pound too.

think my interior button is a hair stuck, or that the nozzle is shot?

anyone had this problem?

can't even see where to get to it to change either.

under the dash?

Try switching the lines on the vlave. You may have them connected backwards.
It is definitely not the nozzle.

kirschwagen Sat Apr 16, 2005 6:39 pm

hey russ - which valves are connected backwards?

only one valve on spare. other to cap. no other way.

do you mean more something in or under the dash?

Russ Wolfe Sat Apr 16, 2005 7:05 pm

Yes, the wiper switch has the valve in it. Where you push the button to make the washers spray.
Either the hoses are on that backwards or the valve there is bad.

oh. the valve in the wiper switch. yeacck!
that sounds over my head. i don't mess with
under dash stuff.

wouldnt know where
to start. guess i'll have my aircooled guru mechanic
check it out this week along with my shift linkages.

thanks.

shoot. looks like the wiper/washer switch
is a single unit that goes for about $60 too.

can't do just the valve/button. of course you
said that already.
