i was just thinking that it would be cool to weld a roof rack / cage through the roof of the body and cage in off-road lights as well as sticking an oil cooler or two in there?

ok ok woah....
im not really at that priority stage with my bug yet..... its actually a super baja and soon to be a standard beetle if you know what i mean....(im gonna tear out the front end and pun a king pin in there......i was hoping one of you guru bug guys might be able to feed off of this..... |

| There was a super expensive baja in hot vws a couple of months ago that had a rack like you describe. Very cool looking and I believe they sell some of the necessary parts. I think you can check it out at desert rides .com |

This is the direction I am leaning too. However, I had the idea To use the safari type rack on a manx long body. I thought a snorkel could be cool too. I was using old land rovers for inspiration.
