Hello. I am not sure if my car has a sand seal pully. I dont know much about them, but have read that they are a definate good thing to have. How can I check if I have one, and can one be installed "bolt on" or is something that is installed when the engine is built. Thanks for your help. I have an external filter and cooler and change my oil frequently, but I want to make sure I have every bit of protection possible for my engine.

You can get one that is a bolt in. It has a seal that pops in with the new pulley and there are also the machined/case modded type. If you take off the pulley and look at the center of it and it has spiral grooves then its not a sand sean. If there is some kind of aluminum space and rubber seal then its probably a sand seal.
