I have a stock single port single pict 30 carb that leaks on my motor currently. i am going to be swapping to a one piece single port single Zenith carb and manifold. I'm just trying to figure out if I can do the swap with the motor in the car or do i have to drop the motor?

I forgot I don't have a body lift.

should be able to do it w/o dropping the motor.

If this is your current setup. I would remove the bumper, fiberglass cowl above engine, take off belt, remove alt/gen and fan shroud as one unit, then simply unbolt the old manifold. No need to remove engine, later,Mitch.

My fiberglass cowl is fiberglassed on. I think i can remove the alternator leaving the fan shroud where it is and pull off the manifold. Thanks guys.

Looks like there should still be plenty of room to get it out. But you get the idea. Later,Mitch.

I think it would be less time and aggravation if you simply pulled the motor out. Your going to have to raise the shroud up at least as high as the studs holding the gennie stand on anyway. Too bad the cover is glassed on :(
