So went to pick up the future baja project Beetle. Well damnit all to hell. It is a whole lot nicer than represented. Never crashed, bumpers perfect, interior at about 90%, etc. In fact, its pretty damn rare too ('78 Peach Red Metallic Champagne Edition II, well that is the orig color and will be again). So I can't bring myself to destroying it by turning it into a baja. I must restore it to its former glory. So a baja project will have to wait even longer. At least gives me time to pick up a part here and a part there. May even finally find that '70 vert I'm looking for some day for a Baja, delivered, hey Brad?

what were you going to do with a super beetle anyhow?

| Umm, make an omelet? I figured full cage tied into a L/K front, so doesn't matter if its a SB or not. Besides, curved windshields are nice. Even had the SB fiberglass lined out. Oh well. |

I bet those curved windhields wouldn't be so cool, if you had to replace a few every season.
