Well the 52 is finally all paid for and in my garage. I have always wanted a Crotch cooler split. I have been after this one for over 3 years alone. It has alot of things wrong with it but I will rock it hard. It is very workable and I should be on the road in a week with her. I think I'm going back out to the dungeon (garage) to rub one out on her again. =P~

finally pulling it out of Joes garage (first time in many years this car has seen daylight).

Loading it onto the ramp trump. Did I mention I skipped work today to do this?

other side

Off to my shop only 5 minutes away from here!

into the dungeon with the type 82 replica and the 15 window

Thank god I have alot of crap for this car (doors, block off plate, batwing, etc)

Atleast the seats are right!

See you guys in a while when the type 82 replica and the 52 are running. I'll be in the dungeon!

Running and driving now, Just needs to stop! Need a complete wiring harness. This thing was a bitch to start! The original starter was bad, so I changed it with one in a tranzaxle I had around, Didn't work! Took one out of the Oval, didn't work! Took one out of the 61 15 window and it barely works! It was great driving MY split (even just around the parking lot). Dual cicuit brakes and a new starter coming in tonight! Stay tuned.

You need a 1956-59 steering wheel Bill? Let me know, I've got several laying around the garage floor.

Well I have the fuel system completely done. The engine oil is flushed and changed. Valves adjusted. Completely new dual circuit brakes (it already had 58-64 front wheel cylinders). I had my buddy at Monro Muffler make me a exhuast tip to fit the merged collector (36 horse) Its a chevy 3 bolt flange with 1 1/2 pipe welded to it and bent down 8 inches out to clear the bumper and apron. I then put on the clamshell exhuast tip. I love the center mount tip and the mellowed sound of a merged collector pointing down. Not nearly as loud or ugly as a stinger.

How can I post a video clip of me burning donuts with this car? I think you guys would be interested in watching this!

Been working on collecting parts, installing the popouts, getting electrical sorted. GOing Porsche 12volt and detailing the motor, then building and installing the beam. Its going to be a busy winter this year.

Aww..the poor thing. IMO you should have left it white with spots, but it's your car. What are the plans for the paint..are there any?

Airsick Sun Oct 02, 2005 6:21 pm

The white was housepaint. It will be bare metal soon till all the metalwork is done. Then paint.

Germanpride Sun Oct 02, 2005 6:42 pm

Ok, cool. I knew there had to be a method to that madness!
