| So, I think my radiator fan isn't working quite properly; it comes on when the temp gauge hits about 2/3, and it's LOUD...I'm guessing this is high speed, because I can't imagine it blows much harder than that. Is there an easy way to test the fan and/or switch? Should low speed come on sooner than that, or is there another, faster speed that I haven't hit yet? |

Yup its the high speed! Replacement shouldnt be much more than 30 bucks max, but...now it the time you can put in a lower temp kicker if you want
so the engine wont run as hot, you might think about a 185/195 or something near to that
You might try....pulling off the rubber electrical connection off the sensor and jumping the connections. There are three. One is a ground, the other two is low and high
see if that the fan is working ok....motor that is |

| Also, make sure the ceramic resistor behind the drivers headlight isn't bad. IF the van has A/C it has one of these. Mine was bad and did the same thing as yours, and it was NOT the temp switch. |
