i have a starter in my 88 transporter that has just quit. there is a new battery and it has a good charge.
i removed the starter and tried the old jumpers to the positive and negative to the case which yeilded a working starter. replaced this starter and tried jumping the solinoid. no go,some small sparks but no starting action. i can hear the relay in the engine comparement closing but...
i was going to try a new starter but i'm not sure that this is the problem.
any ideas as to other things i could try before i give up my $200.00 canadian.
thanks in advance |
