I have a 91 carat Vanagon Weekender due to have a transplant engine from Boston Bob next week. 114,000 miles, excellent shape; new trans, brakes and shocks, no rust at all. While the Van was laid up, I borrowed a buddy's Westfalia camper...and loved it...the convenience of the kitchen made the folk festival I was attending that much sweeter..
I was considering rebuilding my van as a poptop with kitchen... I found a fellow Sambaian willing to sell a top and another with cabinets and appliances...or should I just fix my van, sell it and get a Westie...any thoughts? Thanks, Docterry |

| In this part of the world (PNW) Westies go for almost twice what a regular vanagon would go for. Do the math for your locale, and figure in your fun or sweat/swearing factor. |
