I herd through a friend of mine that a 93 and on special edition Mexican beetle came with a 5 speed tranny he says they do because his dad is a taxi cab driver in Mexico and he remembers the beetle having a 5 speed is this true....

| Never ever saw one, but if you find a VW-factory-made 5-speed bug tranny let me know I will buy it if the ratio is ok. :lol: If not I stay with 911. |

sometime people call 5 speed as follows.
4 forward gears and 1 reverse = 5 speed. |
