The passenger side of my car is 1/4" lower than the driver side. Has anyone ever purchased a lowered car and raised back up to stock height?? Where do you start from. I have three different write ups on how to adjust the torsion bars. My car was not low, but has been screwed with. Any advice will help. Thanks. -Lawrence

When adjusting rear torsion bars, the inner splines will move the car up/down in larger increments compared to adjusting the outer slines. Since you're looking to move the car upward only 1/4", I'd move the outer spline only.

I always thought there were more inner splines, therefore giving you less movement. :? This is why when people go down 2 notches (outer) they're ass end is dumped and there are huge camber issues. I have heard that 1 outer spline relates to about 1 1/2"-2" of movement, while the inner splines are for fine adjustment. Someone correct me if I'm wrong..please. :?

I believe the inner splines are 9 degrees apart and the outer about 8 degrees apart.

Do you have a Bentley manual? It should show the exact degrees, minutes, and seconds that your springplate should be at for stock height.

If the one side is the height you want , you don't even need the Bently . Make sure the rear of the car is on a level surface , jack the car up and place on jackstands . Pop both spring plates off the stops , but don't un sline them . Get a magnetic protracter and measure the side you like height on , go to the other side and adjust plate on splines to match , might take changing inner and outer spline to match other side of car . Bolt it all back together and you're on the way , if both side are not to your liking , you will need the Bently for the factory settings . TROY
