OK...I need some advice, because I am tired of guessing. I have a 63 bug. I have the Empi 5 spoke wheels. Front end has an adjustable beam and dropped spindles, tire size is 195/55 (which works fine). Now the back...I just lowered it 2 splines in the back and I am running 215/60 tires. The back tires rub on the metal frame where the top of the shock mounts. I am not sure what that piece is called...it's where the spring plate sits on the stop. I will be raising the back one spline tonight, because I think 2 is to much for the look I am going for. Does anyone have any recomendations for tire size? I dont know what to do?!!! I would like to keep a little bigger tire on it if at all possible. Thanks in advance for anyones help!

you might want to try wheel spacers.

205/65/15 or 195/65/15 for the rear.

the best size to run..in my experience is 145r15 in front and 165r15 in the rear...no rubbing at all in the rear...and i had the back end so lower that the header was about 2 inches from the ground and the roof line was below my chest...i could lean on the roof...to bad i had to buy a new header every other month...

good luck

135 or 145's up front and 205/70, 205/65 or 195/65 in the ass.
